Holly Ridge Police seeks a highly qualified professional and motivated police officer to work in our community. The Town of Holly Ridge Police Department is a modern, well-equipped, full-service law enforcement agency.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- NC Basic Law Enforcement Certification required
- Be 21 years of age or older
- Possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
- No Felony convictions in any state
- Pass an interview, a psychological test, a drug screen and a medical examination
- Obtain certification from N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission
DUTIES:
- Answers police calls for service
- Responds appropriately to critical situations; applies police procedures
- Investigates crimes and motor vehicle crashes
- Prepares incident, crash and arrest reports
- Serves arrest warrants and criminal summons
- Conducts follow-up investigations on case assignments
- Attends and testifies in court
- Investigates narcotics and criminal activities
- Works rotating shifts
- Operates, inventories and/or calibrates equipment such as breath alcohol sensors, Tasers, cameras, computers, weapons and other equipment
- Participates in community-oriented policing activities
- Performs other related duties as assigned
SALARY:
- $38,172.28 with an excellent benefits package
