Holly Ridge Police seeks a highly qualified professional and motivated police officer to work in our community.  The Town of Holly Ridge Police Department is a modern, well-equipped, full-service law enforcement agency. 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • NC Basic Law Enforcement Certification required
  • Be 21 years of age or older
  • Possess a valid North Carolina Driver’s License
  • No Felony convictions in any state
  • Pass an interview, a psychological test, a drug screen and a medical examination
  • Obtain certification from N.C. Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission

DUTIES:

  • Answers police calls for service
  • Responds appropriately to critical situations; applies police procedures
  • Investigates crimes and motor vehicle crashes
  • Prepares incident, crash and arrest reports
  • Serves arrest warrants and criminal summons
  • Conducts follow-up investigations on case assignments
  • Attends and testifies in court
  • Investigates narcotics and criminal activities
  • Works rotating shifts
  • Operates, inventories and/or calibrates equipment such as breath alcohol sensors, Tasers, cameras, computers, weapons and other equipment
  • Participates in community-oriented policing activities
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

SALARY:

  • $38,172.28 with an excellent benefits package
